Spiritual Gluttony

To borrow a phrase from our Mission Priest for the next couple weeks, I think I’m experiencing “spiritual gluttony”. To make it worse, it’s during Lent. Saturday I went to the Columbus Catholic Men’s Conference and listened to some awesome testimonies from Guy Gruters (former POW) and coach Bill Franks. After they finished I listen to Dr. Ray Guarendi and almost broke a rib laughing so hard. Confessions followed and then Mass. 1000 men attended and I’ve never heard hymns sound so beautiful.

Later in the evening I picked up Fr. Sharbel Francis Mary, F.I. who is visiting providing a parish mission for Fr. Hahn’s parish this week and my parish (work) next week. What an awesom guy! I can’t wait for the mission.

Finally, Sunday, I went to Mass at my parish (work) and Fr. Frank Pavone, MEV was the celebrant and preacher! I’m starting to feel guilty about all this. I guess I should simply be concerned that’s helping me grow closer to Christ and I do believe it is!
