Nicole called today from the hospital to tell me that Catherine had a rough night. She spit up a lot and had a large amount of residuals (shes not digesting everything quickly). So, they are going to put in an NJ tube. This tube will go into her stomach, past the surgery area and into her small intestine. The thought is that this will help her gain wait and give her surgery area more time to heal without being overloaded with food.
The positive note about this is that if she does well after it is in place – no spitting up, etc – she can come home with this tube in. As you can see in the video, she wants to come home! 😉 Please keep praying! Thanks, Jim
