We arrived at the hospital at 9:30 for Catherine’s scheduled 10:30 AM surgery. She was awake and active. Probably hungry since they stopped feeding her at midnight. Well, 10:30 rolled around and they told us that they had emergency surgeries so she would need to be pushed back. 1:30 PM rolled around at still we sat. Then 4:30….then at about 7 Pm they told us that her surgery would need to be moved to Thursday sometime. They are to call us this morning and give us an estimate.
Yes, sitting in the hospital for nearly 10 hours is rough, especially with no windows to the outside world and not knowing when this surgery will take place. Yet we know that those who had to have their surgeries are in greater need so we offer it up for Catherine, for the doctors and nurses, and for those other families.
To lighten the stress we decided to play another game and have a little contest again. This time we are asking you dear reader to guess the surgery time. It is scheduled for today July 24th.
