Many people ask me what Real Life Rosary is or where I came up with the name. What I attempt to do with Real Life Rosary and Rosary Meditations for Real Life is to find everyday life events hidden within each and every mystery. So, I will not only meditate on death via the Sorrowful mysteries but the Joyful Mysteries as well, and the Glorious, and the Luminous.

I have found that there is no life event or situation that cannot be discerned within each and every mystery. Pope John Paul II said, “Against the background of the words Ave Maria the principal events of the life of Jesus Christ pass before the eyes of the soul. They take shape in the complete series of the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries, and they put us in living communion with Jesus through – we might say – the heart of his Mother. At the same time our heart can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all mankind. Our personal concerns and those of our neighbour, especially those who are closest to us, who are dearest to us. Thus the simple prayer of the Rosary marks the rhythm of human life”.

What a beautiful thought, “the simple prayer of the rosary marks the rhythm of human life.” I have found this to be true and in my meditations I have attempted to share what I have found. Here are the Sorrowful Mysteries of Advent & Christmas (PDF in pamphlet form)just in time for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe this Friday.
