Saturday Photo Finish (5/30/20)

Well that escalated quickly. Where did May go…and April for that matter. Lately it seems like time is all out of wack. Thankfully the natural world continues it’s beautiful rythmn of life and the seasonal changes keep us rooted in reality. Here’s my brief “photo finish” for the last week…thanks for reading…

St. Mary, Bremen, OH altar/sanctuary

Our Saturday (5/23) began with Confession for the entire family at our parish. We called an arranged a time to meet with the priest and we all had the opportunity to take part in the sacrament, for the 1st time since February or March!!!

After returning home I began working on one of the many projects we currently have going on here. One was to remove the sink from the utility room so Nicole could paint. In a matter of moments I needed to return to confession…. The handle broke off of the shut-off valve, water everywhere, choice words everywhere. I was a union electrician for 9 years and cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could enjoy plumbing and pipe fitting (sorry dad).

Sunday started off right with a delicious breakfast made by my wife (goodbye Bob-Evans) and having my glasses stolen by this pretty girl.

Sunday afternoon and evening was spent on the deck with this cute table setting.

Most of the day Monday was spent mowing the yard and hiking trail around the property. Here is my “tractor view” from the hill above our home.

I’ve been working on expanding our parking area using nothing but shovels and the front-end loader on the tractor. I must not have done something right because my foreman quickly took over.
