Day 3 of 68 was packed full of adventure and I’m very tired right now so this post should be fairly short…but we’ll see.

Physical

I skipped my usual Fit Father Workout this morning because I knew I’d be going to The Ohio State vs Nebraska game in Columbus and walking a lot. I registered about 10,000 steps which isn’t a tremendous amount but I’m still exhausted from the day.

I took my son, Anthony, his father-in-law, Bob, and another son, Christopher. We had some great seats for a crazy, loud, beautiful day of football. It was everyone’s first time at an OSU game except Bob. We went early so we could take in all of the sights and sounds of game day. I doubt I go again any time soon but aside from the game it was worth it just to see TBDBITL perform Script Ohio! Our seats weren’t bad either…

Spiritual

Instead of my usual exercise, I went straight to prayer time with the daily readings and prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours. The second reading from the Office of Readings is a fascinating comparison between Adam and Jesus by St. Peter Chrysologus. Read it if you have a few extra moments.

Intellectual

After dinner this evening read more from the Summa of the Summa. Here, St. Thomas Aquinas is diving into the “proofs” or ways to know that God exists. It’s certainly not easy reading and I’m thankful that Dr. Peter Kreeft offers plenty of commentary and explanation. I also worked on my cursive C’s with my left hand. They are fairly easy so on the last line I combined what I’ve learned thus far and spelled – cab. Yeah, me! I’m on a 4 day streak with my Spanish app and it is going very well, I mean – muy bien!

Emotional

Today was a great day with the “boys” at the game. It was also nice to sit down with Nicole and the kids for dinner. Today’s dialogue question is “What are our dreams for us?” I wrote my answer after dinner and I’m anxious to read hers!

How was your day? Are you working on making changes in your life too? Let me know in the comments and let’s do this together.

Title and image brought to you by A.I. The title isn’t bad. A.I. usually does a pretty good job with this. As for the image, I give it a B, maybe a B-. It tried. The people aren’t bad, it’s a stadium setting, but the old man’s shirt spells nothing and why are they wearing whistles?
