About four years ago I discovered a little shrine in St. Patrick’s Church in Columbus, OH. This church is pastored by the Dominicans and this shrine is to Blessed Margaret of Castello. I began praying to Blessed Margaret for a family friend dealing with cancer. I prayed daily for the intercession of Blessed Margaret and after Mass on Wednesday’s participated in the veneration of her relics. The friend was healed.
Of course in this difficult time for our family it is hard for us to discern what we should be praying for. Should we be praying for a complete healing for our little Catherine Therese? What if that isn’t God’s will? Should we simply be praying that God’s will be done? What if God wants us to ask Him for healing? It is a struggle so I pray for both – healing and His Holy Will.
So, I would like to ask you all to join me in praying for baby Catherine through the intercession of Blessed Margaret of Costello. This is especially important since yesterday we were told that she is dropping off the growth chart – meaning she is not growing as she should be. If this continues they will need to take her early. Everything else appears healthy and we are happy about that.
Please take the time and read about the life of Blessed Margaret and why she is so special. Please pray the novena with me in asking for healing and also for grace for Catherine Therese and our family – April 5th – 13th.
