Catherine appears to be back to her normal wild self. As of Friday afternoon there were no results pointing to an infection. One theory is that there may be a small hole in her intestine from the surgery and her body was working overtime to fix it. Or there could be an infection in her PICC line. This is the main line where all of her fluids are entering the body. We’ll wait and see. She had good stats today and even made a dirty diaper. After 4 boys I never thought I would be excited about a dirty diaper!
She has the tube in her mouth to get rid of the excess nasty green fluid in her belly – a natural result from the surgery. I’m not sure what the E.T. thing is on her hand. It’s often on one of her feet.
Nicole and Catherine had some skin on skin time today too and that will help Catherine as well as Nicole.
